Sailings version of the famous Empire State Building image of men suspended on a beam. This limited edition, silver gelatin photograph is of the bowsprit of Meteor 2 stranded on a sandbank, taken in 1897 by Alfred John West. Not even the weight of 32 crew members was sufficient to rock her free!

Limited edition, silver gelatin photograph, printed using the original 12” x 10” glass plate negative, 3 x 3.5mm conservation mountboards, presented behind 99% UV, non-reflective glass. Edition number will be advised on purchase.
